Developing an Executive Presence to Interview and Succeed in Your Role

Whether communicating in person or on Zoom, your executive presence affects how others perceive you, how you perceive yourself, and ultimately how effective you are in landing a new role. Presence is one factor that is often overlooked in preparation for interviewing, networking discussions, and general online communication. Major economic shifts, lack of in-office contact, and a changing playing field also mean that those who were confident about how they showed up and were perceived a year ago may not have the same strong executive presence today. This workshop provides a focused, interactive, pragmatic, and customized approach to ensure that you have key presence and communication strategies to adapt to changing norms for success, whether you're focused on interviewing or succeeding in your current role. This workshop is designed for spouses and partners of UChicago academics and was led by Amy Gardner and Keith Sbiral of Apochromatik, a career coaching and consulting firm.
